HISTORY
Appolon Strategies was founded in 2011, when CEO Andress Appolon left a successful public finance career on Wall Street determined to bring her audacious vision, creative strategies and proven track-record to public and private partners in developing industries and emerging markets. This purpose is echoed in the firm's motto: Vision. Strategy. Results.
The firm's first client was Mrs. Appolon's last Wall Street client, The Academy Charter School in Hempstead, NY, for whom she senior managed an $11 million USD unrated bond issuance to fund the construction, renovation and equipping of a modern school building for the purpose of providing educational opportunities to the town's underserved children. It was the deal that "couldn't be done." Having received little support for the transaction, despite becoming her former employer's most profitable bond issuance, to date, Mrs. Appolon left Wall Street, started Appolon Strategies, and advised the School during its first year of operations in the very school building she helped finance.
Shortly after, Appolon Strategies was tapped by the Office of the President of Haiti to advise on the country's public infrastructure investments, with a particular focus on the energy sector.
Since then, Appolon Strategies has continued to serve the Caribbean Region, with a particular focus on the region's second largest market, Haiti.
